It is not often that I get addicted to a book. I can read a bok from front to back, but it is not really the same. I've had only one book before that I was addicted to, ironically it was the Heroin diaries by Nikki Sixx. To be completly honest that one was more addictive, but this is almost the same! I have to read it! I have trouble putting it aside. It is interesting and fun, easy to read.
It is full of tips how to get a girl be attreacted to you (a guy), to be interested and to have a great conversation. How to get her phonenumber without asking for it and how to get over your fear of rejection. And it would definitely work on me!
I was drawn to this book, I had red the backside of a whole bunch of books, some I found interesting, some I didn't even finish the backside text. But this I instantly decided to read! And it was my savior when I missed my bus and had to wait for 5 hours until the next bus! I red it for 5 hours straight! And I don't know that the time was passing, I just looked at the time every once in a while equally surpriced everytime that so much time had passed. I'd recommend this book to anybody!
I like to add a few citates from the book. This one is about how you overcome your fear of getting caught tryint to manipulate her. "You don't shover or shave for a month, until you smell like a sewer. Then you walk around for two weeks wearing a dress and a golie mask with a dildo strapped to the front. That's what I did. And I will never be afraid of public humiliaton again." (Rastputins asnwer to how you get over fear, page 156 in the Game)
One girl he really did get feelings for, and they dated. But it didn't work out in the end. This explains the emotions he and that girl felt best. We have this idea that love is supposed to last forever. But love isn't like that. It's a free-flowing energy that comes and goes when it pleases. Sometimes it stays for life; other times it stays for a second, a day, a month or a year. So don't fear love when it comes simply because it makes you vulnerable. But don't be surpriced when it leaves, either. Just be glad you had the opportunity to experience it. (fond in a book Neil Strauss was reading when unable to sleep, page 213-214 in the Game)
The book itself is very surrealistic, even though it is said it is real. When they are out sarging (1verb: to pick up women, or to go out and try to meet women (page 484)) for a new women all the time, there isn't any feelings in the game. This is how Mystery explained his feelings for a woman he was dating "I actually had a crush on my own girlfriend". (page 353, The Game)
A side effect of sarging is that it can lower one's oppinion of the opposite sex. You see too much betrayal, and infidelity. If a women has been marridge three years or more, you come to learn that she is usually easier to sleep with than a single women. If a women has a boyfriend, you learn that you have a better chans of fucking her the night you meet her than getting her to return a phone call later. Women , you eventually realize, are just as bad as men - they're just better at hiding it. (side 382, the Game)
The book lost it's interest to me when I actually got into a relationship. Even though it is still interesting to read it was more interesting when I was single, just getting out of a relationship. I do not feel that I had to read it, but I still thought it was easy to read and I enjoyed the book.
In the end of the book Neil Strauss leaves Style behind to get into a serious relationship. It is interesting to know how sarging can take ofer your life completly, and how love plays a part in a relationship.
Read it! It's worth it! But don't try to become like them, I don't think that is worth it. But to use some knowledge, that is only smart!
